Some athletes come and go.
Others become part of the foundation.
We’re proud to welcome Tracy back for her 5th year on Team VPA 👊
Tracy has been living a fully plant-based lifestyle for 13 years, and has been vegetarian for most of her life. What started as a decision rooted in compassion for animals evolved into something even bigger—an understanding of the powerful impact nutrition has on health, performance, and the environment.
And she’s not just talking about it—she’s living it.
👉 1 pregnancy fueled on plants
👉 5 Ironmans
👉 20 Half Ironmans
All powered by a plant-based lifestyle.
Beyond endurance sport, Tracy brings a unique and powerful perspective as a physician. Like many in the medical field, she recognized a major gap early on:
👉 very little education around nutrition
That realization led her to take action.
She launched the Physician Plant-Based Podcast, where she helps bridge that gap by:
-
breaking down the science behind plant-based nutrition
-
reviewing research and studies
-
sharing practical tools for people looking to incorporate more plants into their lives
It’s all about making the information more accessible—for both medical professionals and the broader community.
Tracy’s impact doesn’t stop there.
She recently joined the board of the Good Life Animal Refuge in Longmont, Colorado, continuing to advocate for animals in a hands-on way that reflects the same values that started her journey.
When she’s not training, racing, or educating others, you’ll find her spending time with her vegan husband and their rescue pups, Stevie and Mel 🐾
Athletes like Tracy are what Team VPA is all about.
Leading by example.
Living with intention.
Showing what’s possible.
We’re grateful to have her back for another year.
Let’s keep moving forward 💚
