Team VPA Athlete Spotlight - Doug @mindsetcoachforathletes

I originally went vegan for my health. My wife and I took a 30-day vegan challenge, and I stuck with it because of how much better I felt in that short amount of time. I originally went plant-based for my health at the beginning of training for my second marathon. One of first things I noticed was the increase in energy that I had, and I took over 40 minutes off my time! I became vegan shortly after that because the ethos of being good stewards of the planet and caring for all animals fit my values. The world needs to know that factory farming animals is not just unethical, it's also one of the biggest contributors to climate change and world hunger.
There's a clear revolution going on toward veganism. We don't have to look any further than corporations. Companies are inherently conservative (with a small c), but they can read the tea leaves and make their offerings based on consumer demand. Team VPA is at the center of this revolution and I think it has tremendous potential to be an agent for social change. I want to be a part of that.
