I made the shift away from the Standard American Diet (SAD) in 2013 as a way to reduce my cholesterol and blood pressure after my Mother had a massive heart attack. Little did I know it at the time, but this shift transitioned me into a whole new lifestyle. A Vegan Lifestyle. Friends and family thought after I got the results I wanted I would go back to eating “normal”. Why would I want to go back to feeling crappy? I felt great, lost weight, had tons of energy, and was enjoying all the plentiful amount of food I got to eat! Choosing to go vegan was one of the best decisions I have made in my life and for my life! I soon discovered it wasn’t just for my own benefit. When you go vegan, you are choosing to follow a more ethical and compassionate lifestyle that prevents the needless torture and suffering of animals and reduces damage to the planet while greatly improving your health.
Now more than ever, people are turning to a Plant-Based Diet to improve their health, lose weight, increase their energy levels, and even overcome chronic disease. There are many health benefits from adopting a Plant-Based Diet. There is a vast amount of scientific evidence supporting that a Plant-Based Diet is the healthiest, most natural diet for humans to consume. With an estimated 70 percent of all diseases, including one-third of all cancers, related to diet, it’s no wonder that cultures who mainly consume a plant-based diet are the healthiest, slimmest, and longest living people on the planet. Consuming a Plant-Based Diet significantly reduces the risk of chronic diseases such as obesity, heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and cancer.
For most of us eating the Standard American Diet (SAD), shifting to this way of eating seems unimaginable. My job is to help you slowly shift your mindset and your habits so that what feels impossible becomes simple and even ordinary as it did for me. Eventually, what seemed to be a difficult change becomes an easy lifestyle. I will guide you to keep you on track, stay motivated, and achieve your Vegan Lifestyle Goals!
